Luna Nera
Irpinia charm
Avellino: the ancient Irpinia
We are in one of the most important areas in the world for the settlement, cultivation, study and diffusion of vines and wine.
The Irpinia area is scattered with testimonies and artifacts that document the presence of vines and the excellent quality of the wines produced.
The wines of Irpinia
Over the centuries, tradition has combined with modern cultivation and processing techniques
Thus are born wines rich in aromas, personality, character, but above all unique and inimitable.
The moon and the wine
The discovery of the connection between the moon and wine production arose from the observation that one of the supplier vignerons of the maison de négoce Moillard in Nuits Saint Georges was able to bring beautiful and healthy grapes even in the most difficult years.
Intrigued, Denis Thomas, owner of the maison, asked the farmer the secret of his success and the latter explained to him that for over seventy years he had been tending his vineyards looking at the moon.
